Yes, I'm Black.

One of the most common questions I get—since I don’t show my face on social media—is, “Is this a Black-owned brand?” I understand why people ask. Too often, companies use Black culture as an aesthetic, profiting from our creativity, trends, and influence without actually being part of the community or sharing in the lived experience.

That’s not what happens here.

Rebellious Pins is Black-owned, Black-created, and deeply rooted in our culture. Every design tells a story, celebrates where we come from, and makes a statement—just like we do.

I’m Ambra, and I started Rebellious Pins because I didn’t see enough pins that truly reflected my culture. This is my way of changing that—one pin at a time.

ACCESSORIES THAT MEAN SOMETHING

Rebellious Pins started with a simple idea: accessories should mean something. As someone who has always used journaling and planning to take control of my life, I realized that self-expression isn’t just about what you write—it’s also about what you wear.

After launching my first enamel pin under another brand, Alexander Stationery, I saw something powerful: people didn’t just want pins—they wanted statements. The 92% pin sold out in 48 hours, and our next production run (10x as many as the first) sold out before inventory even arrived. That moment confirmed what I already knew: Black culture is bold, iconic, and deserves to be seen.

Rebellious Pins is a way to wear your identity, rep your culture, and make a statement without saying a word. Every design is created with meaning, whether it’s a nod to history, a tribute to our shared experiences, or just a moment that makes us laugh.

The Mission Behind Rebellious Pins

We create culturally inspired enamel pins that celebrate, uplift, and represent Black culture in all its forms. Our mission is simple:

  • To honor the past – by creating pins that tell our history, both before and after America.
  • To amplify the present – by making accessories that reflect our community, our humor, and our shared experiences.
  • To shape the future – by ensuring that wherever Black people are, Rebellious Pins is there, too.

Whether it’s a symbol of resistance, joy, pride, or nostalgia, we design pins that connect us, empower us, and remind us of who we are.

Our Goals for the Brand

We’re not just making pins—we’re making history. Our goal is to become the go-to source for culturally inspired enamel pins, with representation in:

  • Concert merch for Black artists and musicians
  • Museums on Black history in America and beyond
  • Black sororities, fraternities, and organizations that deserve to see themselves represented
  • Churches, HBCUs, and cultural institutions
  • Gift shops, conferences, and events where Black people gather

We want Rebellious Pins to be everywhere Black people are, celebrating the culture, uplifting our voices, and reminding us of our power.
